RAT-SAR provides search and rescue assistance to the following areas and regions:
- Primary Response Area: Bankhead National Forest (as a responding agency under the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Agency Search and Rescue Team)
- Northern Alabama
- Western North Carolina
- Northwest Georgia
- Eastern Tennessee
