RAT-SAR provides search and rescue assistance to the following areas and regions:
- Primary Response Areas: Bankhead National Forest (as a responding agency under the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Agency Search and Rescue Team) and North Alabama under mutual aid agreements with NW Alabama K9, Huntsville Cave Rescue Unit and other local and county AHJs.
- Western North Carolina
- Northwest Georgia
- Eastern Tennessee
